What are the seeds you are planting for the next generation?
Navigate the labyrinth of life and journey to the center of deepest self
Moses Ladder – 8 levels or rungs of giving and charity:
Giving reluctantly or unwillingly
Giving less than appropriate, yet cheerfully and graciously
Giving in plenty, only after being asked, yet cheerfully
Giving without being asked, and not publicly stating it, to a recipient whose identity you know
Giving publicly to a recipient you do not know, who knows your identity
Giving anonymously to a recipient whose identity you know
Giving anonymously to a recipient whose identity you do not know
Giving such that the recipient enables himself to become self sufficient, thereby dispensing with other’s aid altogether
Giving to people in need is good, yet solving problems that keep people from being in need is better and having funding to do it is better yet. The last level of giving is what daring to live your legacy incorporates and is illustrated in the saying “Give a person a fish and he eats for a day, Give him a fishing pole or teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime”…..and perhaps by radically giving the gift of yourself you take it a step further and “Give him the ability to buy the pond to fish in.”
Whatever legacy you create will be a joyful process for you personally, which lends your life significance, and exponentially is something you pass onto others, for today and for future generations……
